PAULO BRIGHENTI

(Almada, 1968). Lives and works in Lisbon. Maintaining a studio space in the countryside, nearby Lisbon.


An important Portuguese painter of his generation and of great recognition, he is an exemplary artist in the Portuguese art scene, with a successful path at national and international level.

His work transits between the second and third dimension, space being an important element in the development of his work, as well as an element of transformation in the process of his exhibitions, for the creation of immersive spaces that become multi-sensorial.


Paulo Brighenti has been exhibiting since the 1990s.

In 2002 he won the Arpad Szenes Foundation Revelation Award - Vieira da Silva, Lisbon.
