JOANA REBELO DE ANDRADE

Joana Rebelo de Andrade (1983), was born in Lisbon where she lives and works.

She graduated in Painting and Graphic Design in Portugal and also studied Printing and Typography at the Central Saint Martins - University of the Arts London. In the latest years, Joana has been exercising a process of depuration and questioning the limits

both of sculpture and painting.

Within this process, she challenges the the limits between them, crosses the lines and makes these concepts overlap. She has realized several solo shows and participated in important group exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. Her work is represented in private collections in Italy, Germany, the US, and Portugal.
