DANIELA KRTSCH

Daniela Krtsch (DE, 1972) works in painting, photography and sculpture to create dialogues and suspended narratives, inspired by memories and experiences, personal and collective, through which she investigates the intersecting spheres between reality and fiction.

In her way of working there is a great openness and willingness to experiment with new media and different forms of expression intersecting the usual techniques creating unusual results.

Krtsch has held exhibitions in major European cities, besides Lisbon, also in Paris, Barcelona, Athens and London, exhibiting nationally and internationally since 2000.

She regularly collaborates with fashion brands to develop utilitarian objects or accessories or clothing as happened with Krvkurva or Nike / ModaLisboa.

In 2005 she was awarded in Paris with the prize "Fully Connected / Microaudiowaves. Best Videoclip 2005, QWARTZ Awards". In 2003 she represented Portugal at the "Young Creatives Biennal" in Athens.

In 2002, she received a grant from Caixa Geral de Depósitos.

The artist is represented in important institutional collections, such as, among others, the Portuguese Nationl Collection for Contemporary Art, Lisbon, the Deutsche Bank Collection, Frankfurt, the PLMJ Collection, Lisbon, or the Collection Navacerrada, Cantabria, ES. Her works is very well represented in private collections, as the artist is very esteemed among collectors.
